We just returned from a week in Maui, Hawaii. I did not want to leave! It is the most beautiful place I have been…at least tropical place. We were there with 9 other couples from my husbands work for the FCCI, Fellowship of Companies for Christ International. These are men and women who own businesses and want to honor God in how they do business. Through connections they are always held at a Ritz Carlton hotel…so Hawaii and a Ritz Carlton…oh my was I a happy “camper”!!
The conference was wonderful, we heard many inspiring speakers, including Frances Chan, author of Crazy Love.
The island was absolutely beautiful! Flowers everywhere, the ocean so many blues, the beach so soft, the water clear! Went snorkeling and saw some beautiful fish, a sea turtle, and I was told I swam over a shark lurking under a coral ledge…at the mention of shark I made a rather quick exit…
This was the weekend for the Maui Marathon, on Saturday they held a 10K, that two couples ran, and also a 5K the my husband and I ran along with another couple. Mostly flat with a big honking hill smack in the middle…why do they do that? Despite the hill my time was not too bad, 38:27, with a pace of 12:22. Considering how little I have run lately that is pretty good!
We are back home, but head out again in 20 days… World traveler!
The weather here is beautiful, crisp nights and days in the low 70′s. Sunny skies, trees showing their color, New England at its best!
Hope to do some sewing this week, and report soon!
I am still having computer issues and writing posts on the iPad is a bit frustrating…
