Most of my bucket list is about travel. I have always wanted to travel. Until 2001 I had never been out of the country. My first two trips were to England and France. Like a kid in a candy shop I still remember after flying all night and not sleeping, riding the coach to our destination so excited to take it all in and I promptly fell asleep. Luckily I really did not miss that much. Since we have traveled to Mexico, British Columbia, Dubai, Hawaii.
We are leaving on Saturday for a three country tour!! Actually with an overnight in London, unfortunately only time for sleeping. Then off to Targu-Mures, Romania. The company my husband works for has its Global Management Meetings at the plant there. Usually it is just the guys, but this year the wives are invited! We will be in some of the meetings and also visiting an orphanage and a service project.
Then off to Istanbul, Turkey. We have friends who live there and we will visit them for a week with an overnight on Adalar an island one of a few islands off the coast. I am looking forward to seeing the sights!
Then we wing our way to Dubai, UAE. There will be an open house of the repair facility of the company that my husband’s company are partnering with in the Middle East. The Company will repair pumps for the oil and gas industry in the Middle East. While there I will be getting familiar with the city, checking out possible areas to live, doing a bit of shopping, and attending a regional conference that the family of churches we are a part of are having in Dubai.
Need to spend sometime adding to my bucket list!!
Sewing is on hold until I get back, have some presents for the grandkids in the works.
On the athletic front I have continued to lift weights, this is a heavy week, so squats on Monday were 95% of PR, which means 110 lbs for me 5 single lifts. Then pause squats, 65 lbs. going down and holding for 3 seconds then up 3 sets of 3…not easy. We also did speed bench, ring rows and weighted sit ups. I am taking some time off from running, will start again when I return in November. It will be back to square one…but that is ok, I also hope for a few nice days to get in a bike ride or two.
I hope to post while I am away…with pictures!!
